How We Started...
Ivette Kershaw is the founder and the owner of Gambaru Corporation and she enjoys working with children of all ages. Especially those children who have difficulties in their day to day activities at home, school, and community
Ivette has a Masters degree of Science in Occupational Therapy and became Sensory integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) certified in 2008. Her experience began as an occupational therapy assistant in 1996 where she began her work in the psychiatric field at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She returned to school to continue her studies until she earned her Master’s degree in Occupational therapy.
Mrs. Kershaw has also worked in early intervention and adult skilled nursing facilities.
Meet Our Team
Ivette is a graduate of Dominican College, NY where she completed her undgraduate and Masters Degree. She is certified in sensory integration disorders. Ivette was born in Honduras Central Amercia, at the age of 17 she moved to Oregon where she studied English and immersed herself into the American culture. Mrs. Kershaw is very involved in her community where she serves on the board of directors for NSMHA. She is a proud mother of 2 daughters and enjoys spending time with her husband and her boxer dogs.
Larry is the marketing director at Gambaru. He ensures our business of therapy runs smoothly amongst the busy scheduling of all the clinicians. He maintains communications with the schools to ensure satisfaction. He also researches the growing market of the school therapy needs to ensure our staff is up to date in this growing market.
